Richard L. Parker, MD

is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, affiliated with LIJ Hospital/NSU Hospital, who treats all orthopedic problems, with special interest in arthroscopy, sports medicine, and disorders of the spine. He is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine and was trained at Montefiore Hospital/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Parker was one of the first orthopedic surgeons to perform outpatient arthroscopic surgery on Long Island, starting in 1980, and is a fellow of both the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the North American Arthroscopy Association. He is also a recipient of the prestigious America’s Top Doctors Award.

Neil B. Kirschen, MD

Board certified in anesthesiology, pain medicine, acupuncture, and massage therapy, Dr. Kirschen has done extensive postgraduate training in osteopathic and manual medicine. He uses acupuncture, spinal manipulation, medical massage, craniosacral therapy, ligament reconstructive therapy, natural medicines, and interventional anesthetic nerve blocks in his practice.

Neil Watnik, MD

graduated from the State University of New York Health Sciences Center, Brooklyn Orthopedic Residency, in 1991. He continued his training in a sports medicine and arthroscopic surgery fellowship at the Hospital for Joint Diseases – Orthopedic Institute. Dr. Watnik was certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in 1994, and has been a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons since 2002. Dr. Watnik’s interests include adult and pediatric trauma, as well as sports medicine and surgery. He is a team physician for the Long Island Ducks baseball team and the Long Island Rough Riders soccer teams.

Kenneth McCulloch, MD

was born and raised in New York City. He earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University in Princeton, NJ, and then stayed in the Garden State, receiving his M.D. from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Robert Wood Johnson. He returned to New York City for his training in Orthopaedic Surgery at St. Luke’s / Roosevelt Hospital Center, University Hospital of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Finally, he completed a prestigious fellowship in Adult Reconstruction at Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, CA. For his initial years in practice, Dr. McCulloch was located in Southern California where he developed one of the busiest practices in the southwestern United States. He returned home to New York City to be near family and friends, and since then has introduced a number of innovative technologies and techniques to the area.

Dr. McCulloch has distinguished himself in the field of joint preservation and adult joint reconstruction, traveling throughout the country to instruct other surgeons at conferences and in the operating room, in minimally invasive and advanced techniques, such as Direct Anterior Total Hip Arthroplasty, Total Hip Resurfacing, and Custom Fit Total Knee Arthroplasty. Additionally, he works with orthopaedic companies and independently, with several of his own patents, to develop new products and refine procedures and equipment. Dr. McCulloch has also organized the establishment or evolution of Joint Arthroplasty programs at a number of different hospitals and medical institutions.

Dr. Kenneth McCulloch is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He is an attending surgeon at Lenox Hill Hospital, NYU Hospital for Joint Diseases, NYU Medical Center, and New York Downtown Hospital. He is the Chief of the Joint Arthroplasty Department at New York Downtown Hospital and an Associate Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the New York University School of Medicine.

Dr. McCulloch is fluent in Spanish.

Vladimir Dadashev, MD

is a neurosurgeon who specializes in the treatment of diseases to the spine. Dr. Dadashev utilizes both minimally invasive and traditional open approaches for the treatment of spinal stenosis, sciatica, disc herniation, fractures, spinal instability, back pain, spinal infections, and spinal tumors. Some of these treatments include microdiscectomy, laminectomy and spinal fusion. He also employs innovative techniques such as 3-D navigation and neuro-endoscopy.

Dr. Dadashev received hi B.A. in Chemistry from Hunter College, NY, NY, summa cum laude, salutatorian, where he belonged to the Phi Betta Kappa Honor Society. He obtained his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, MI with High Distinction, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society (AOA), junior selection, and was “Surgery Student of the Year” award nominee. At Emory University SOM, Atlanta, GA, he completed his internship and residency in their Department of Neurosurgery. He served as chief resident inhis final year at Emory.

Dr. Dadashev has authored numerous articles, book chapters, and presented extensively. He authored the most recent chapter on “Treatment of Disk and Ligamentous Diseases of the Cervical Spine” in Youmans Neurological Surgery, 6th edition. While at Emory he won The Best Paper Presentation on the use of novel 3-dimensional endoscopy in transsphenoidal pituitary surgery from the Georgia Neurological Society.

He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS). He is fluent in Russian.

Sid Sharma, DPM

completed his medical education at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He is the youngest ever to graduate from that school. He finished a three-year foot and ankle surgical residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. He has authored numerous articles related to wound care in several orthopaedic and wound care journals. In addition, he has also co-authored three books in the field of medical anthropology. He currently teaches resident physicians from The Mount Sinai Hospital and Hoboken University Medical Center. Dr. Sharma’s professional interests include arthroscopy, minimally invasive procedures and regenerative medicine. He has lectured at conferences, hospitals and universities across the country. Dr. Sharma is also a New York State Trooper PBA Police Surgeon.
